MIDT

Marketing Information Data Transfer (MIDT) is a database that by accessing information from the Global Distribution Systems (GDS) captures booking transaction data from Passenger Name Records (PNR) to provide detailed information about the worldwide booking activities of airlines and travel agencies. MIDT was specifically designed to provide airlines with valuable competitive information so that they are able to make well informed decisions regarding existing and new route opportunities.

Reports

Aspirion provides a number of pre-built reports to perform the most common tasks. These reports contain charts that are ideal for presentations. The underlying data can be downloaded to Microsoft Excel.

The reports included are:

Directionality
Bookings split by outbound/inbound
Point of Sale
Top point of sale countries of a market airport
O/D Summary
Bookings and average fares of O/D pairs
Seasonality
Bookings shown on a monthly basis
Itinerary Mix
Top itineraries by total bookings for an airport or O/D pair
Fare Mix
Top O/D pairs split into fare groups
Yield
Yield per km and average fare for the top O/D pairs
Average Fares
Average fares for the O/D pairs


Custom Data

In addition to the above reports, Aspirion allows clients to produce a highly customised output of raw MIDT data. With this facility clients can produce their own reports in many third party tools such as Microsoft Excel. Clients can specify their own criteria, such as origin and destination airports or countries and time periods. The user can choose from an extensive list of fields to receive in their output:

Standard Fields

  • Date
  • Origin and destination airport and country (names and codes)
  • Port of origin and point of sale
  • Itinerary and segment count
  • Bookings (by fare group)
  • Revenue estimates (by fare group)

Market information

By specifying an airport to analyse, additional fields can be calculated in the output:

  • Direction (In/Out)
  • Market airport and country
  • O/D booking type (Domestic/International)
  • Origin status (Outbound/Inbound)
  • U/D port, country and booking type

Moving Annual Total

Entering an MAT month allows the following fields to be included:

  • MAT year
  • Year-ending
  • MAT period
